Your regular lesson assignment is below - we'll pick back up with this stuff after the recital. In the meantime, we'll be focusing on When the Saints for the recital on May 9. See the TUNES section below for some new recordings of When the Saints.

- Remember to always articulate with your tongue (unless there is a slur written)

- Standard of Excellence book p. 23

- Click this LINK and watch the 2nd and 3rd videos about the musical staff and ledger lines

- In the EXERCISES section: practice all of p. 2 from the 1st sheet (that we did in today's lesson)
- From the TUNES section: Can you play When the Saints just like the recording (use headphones)? Can you play Blue Skies just as Ella Fitzgerald sings it?

- Are there any songs from this new playlist that you really dig?

 These 2 recordings are When the Saints in your key - please click the links, then select the option to listen to them on the actual YouTube site. Then go to the settings wheel and select playback speed. Try 0.75 or 0.5.Then practice along - with your headphones - with these recordings.
Listen to them for ideas of interesting rhythms for your G arpeggio:
